The story begins with the discovery of a powerful ring by the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, who later bequeaths it to his nephew Frodo. Unknown to Frodo, the ring was created by the Dark Lord Sauron to give him control over all other rings of power, and it must be destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom to prevent Sauron’s return to power.
Frodo sets out on a perilous journey to destroy the ring, accompanied by his loyal friend Sam and a fellowship of other warriors, including the elf Legolas, the dwarf Gimli, and the human Aragorn.
